Comment by SB: I want to personally comment Chase as I love her so much. This lovely filly is out of my favourite stud Determination who himself is a demi-legend out of the great Stormwing. Determination also won the Twilight Stakes under Megan. Her dam is one of the loveliest mares ever who has a nice racing record behind her, that is of course the Demi-legend Djerbas Sunshine. So Chase comes from two completely different but equally well known lines giving her a great career as a broodmare to fall back on. Chase is the only horse in this auction that has already been trained. I would love her to take a career in Racing but she would also make a fantastic endurance horse. Never will you find a horse so easy to work with who has such potential to be a champion. I personally will be extremely disappointed if she ends up unproven and in at the bottom of the list.
Comment by Becki: Wow! Amazing bloodlines. If this filly is anything like what she's related to you can bet she's going to take the world by storm! A fantastic horse and racing prospect, anyone would be lucky to have her in their barn! In fact I am so sure this filly will become one of the best that I already envy the lucky person that buys her!

STREAMLINE STAKES && a test of courage
THE POST PARADE
Gate #1 SPITZ Owned, trained, and ridden by Kirsten Jade of Akita Rose Stables. The gray stallion is looking as impressive as always, and he jogs quietly beside his outrider’s pony as they head into their warm up lap. Spitz doesn’t seem at all phased as he begins his gallop lap, and is listening to his rider well. The pair seem ready to go, and Spitz loads easily into the gates.
Gate #2 gm EXECUTE Co-owner and trainer is Tropicana Dreams Inc., and today GM Execute is ridden by Parker Evans. The colt doesn’t seem to be as patient as Spitz, and he’s nipping at the outrider’s pony and having to be held back by his rider. As he begins his gallop lap, GM Execute has his head down to his chest as Evans tries to keep him slow. The colt doesn’t seem too excited to enter the starting box, and he needs some encouragement from the assistant starter before he settles in.
Gate #3 THE NATURAL The Natural is owned and trained by Green Horse Stables, and today he is ridden by Sarah Star. The huge stallion seems to be more interested in Sun Chaser who’s behind him than the task at hand, but Star manages to keep him going forward. Now Star has him doing the gallop lap, and he seems to relax and loosen up more before heading to the gates. The Natural seems a little hesitant at first, but he’s loaded now and waiting for the others. Gate #4 SUN CHASER Owned and trained by Imperial Glory Studs, ridden by Kyle Landing. Sun Chaser is very mellow as she jogs by her pony, and only tosses her head a couple of times in excitement as she and Landing begin their gallop lap. Sun Chaser approaches the gates quietly, and goes into the starting box without any fuss. Gate #5 MURDER AFIRE Owned and trained by Fail Scene Stables, Murder Afire is being ridden by Justin Harper. While this colt is the most lightly raced, it wouldn’t be fitting to call him the long shot. Murder Afire was part of a three way tie in the November DTC, and today he looks ready to go. He looks a little frisky during his warm up lap, but quiets down enough to be loaded into the gates.
All the horses are in the gates… AND THEY’RE OFF THE STREAMLINE STAKES
The two horses who fly out of the gates first are GM Execute and Sun Chaser, while the other stampede after them. Spitz stumbles a little bit during the first few steps, and he falls to his knees before getting himself back up and trying to make up for lost ground. Ahead of him are The Natural and Murder Afire running side by side behind Sun Chaser, who’s busy stalking the leader, GM Execute. The end of the track is coming up quickly, and none of the positions change before they all gallop through the opening in the rail and onto the dry sand of the coastline. The deep sand poses as a surprise to most of the horses, and their hooves sink into it with each step. The jockeys will have to find the more hard packed sand if they’re going to give their mounts a chance. As it turns out, it’s Spitz who leads the way down to the water, and he’s followed by the rest of the pack…that is, except for Murder Afire. The colt doesn’t seem too head over heels for the new terrain, and with the wind blowing, he isn’t being too agreeable. By the time his jockey manages to get him headed after the others, he’s already lost a precious eight lengths. But the race is long, and there’s still time to make it up.
All of the horses are running in the surf now, and they’re more spread out. Spitz is five lengths in front, and he’s followed by GM Execute and Sun Chaser, who still haven’t strayed from each other. The Natural is following two lengths behind them, seeming to enjoy the salty water. But nobody is loving it more than Spitz. The stallion is just playing as he flies along, and his lead is still growing. Murder Afire is slowly edging up from behind to challenge The Natural, but he’s still got five lengths to go before he can get out of last place. Water is flying everywhere, and the salty breeze seems to give all of the horses new energy. They’ve run just over a mile, and they still look fresh. The flagged markers tell them the turn is coming soon, and Spitz is first to reach them. GM Execute and Sun Chaser are closing in behind him, and The Natural and Murder Afire are close on their tail.
The sand soon gets dry and deep again as the terrain changes, and all of the horses have to climb up a steep hill in the sand. Spitz seems to be slipping back before he fights his way to the top, and it takes a moment for him to gather up more strength before galloping on. GM Execute and Sun Chaser tackle the hill next, and the filly makes it to the top before GM Execute does. The colt is more steady in his climb, and slowly plunges to the top, before shaking himself off and chasing down the chestnut filly. The Natural flies up it like it’s nothing, and Murder Afire sprints at it like the devil is after him, and he takes a flying leap straight at it. Sand goes everywhere, but the colt gets up faster than anybody else.
The horses are in the meadow now, and their exhaustion is starting to show. The pace has slowed down considerably, and the jockeys have to keep their horses going. The Natural is slowly coming up from behind, with Murder Afire glued to his tail. GM Execute can’t seem to reach Sun Chaser again, because she’s already set her sights on Spitz. The gray stallion won’t give up his lead easily though, and he manages to shake her off. The entire field is getting more clumped together now, as the horses in the back are moving up. The racetrack is in sight…and so is the finish line.
The last furlong is run on the track, and the grandstand cheers as the horses come back into sight. Sun Chaser finds another gear, and she makes another move at Spitz. Spitz is fighting with everything he’s got, but the distance has taken it’s toll on him. Sun Chaser has to give everything in order to pass up the stubborn racer, but she manages to scrape by, and heads for the finish line. Sun Chaser is the first to re-enter the track, and is followed by the rest of the field. The Natural hits the gas, and he’s running down the others. The giant horse passes up everybody, and tried to make a move on Sun Chaser, but she’s too far gone. Murder Afire has made his move as well, but a stubborn GM Execute is trying to hold him off. The pair is running side by side, and suddenly every other horse doesn’t matter. It’s a match race between the two colts, and as the wire gets closer, one nose begins to edge ahead of the other. All horses fly under the finish line, to the roar of the crowd. What a race!
THE RESULTS FIRST sun chaser SECOND the natural THIRD spitz FOURTH murder afire FIFTH gm execute
