Josh wandered down the barn isle. He was excited to be here at Intrepid Racing, it was the first time he had visited, although he had followed their horses for many years and was a huge fan of the blood that they produced. He was just so determined to get his hands on just a little piece of it. He was already the rider of Bacciami who Oak Hill had purchaced recently from Intrepid Racing and he was back for more. He had his eye on a young colt named In Front. In Front had some of Josh's favourite lines, with Touch Up and Flight Of Fancy being the parents. In Front had relations such as: Commupance, Devil's Flair, Top Admiral, Fiery Touch, The Devil's Touch, Calamity Queen, Voodoo Doll and Winning Touch. The pair seemed to produce excellent offspring seperately, so Josh was just intrigued to find what they could produce together. He had been watching In Front in the prospect shows for some time now and was knowledgable that the colt was already making a name for himself out there.
Josh reached the stall of In Front. He grinned as he peered over the stall door to see the magnificent colt stood facing towards him. His ears pricked at the appearance of Josh. Josh held his hand out towards the horse and he waited for him to move towards him. The colt made his way over to Josh and nuzzled at his hand. Josh smiled and looked around, looking for someone to ask and enquire about the colt.
A figure appeared and Josh keenly asked to inspect the colt. He knew exactly what he was looking for and he was just hoping that this colt would have it as he was so keen on the colt. He was led out of the stall and stood in front of Josh. Josh circled the colt, inspecting his legs, back and head. His legs were clean, fine and scarless, back seemed sound and head was neat and he seemed like a sensible young thing. Josh nodded and smiled, focusing his attention towards the handler now. Hmm, I'm very interested that's for certain! It's just what you're interested in? I've talked things over with Millie and she's quite happy to give you a reserve to a horse of your choice, including broods, studs, racers and even weanlings/yearlings if you're willing to wait that long for your breeding. Though, if there's anything else you're looking for we're absolutely willing to negotiate!

Nick was walking through the sale. There was a lot of people he knew and some he didn't. It was always exciting on sale day, you never really knew what was going to happen, but one thing was for sure...top quality horses were here and so were the people and Nick was going to do everything in his power to make sure these horses got sent to the right homes. Only the best would do.
Each horse had a clipboard hanging by their stall doors, listing bloodlines, connections and stats. He paused by Reggie's door. The small bay weanling filly came right up to the door, barely reaching, while her dam Italian Lover eyed Nick. The mother came up to the door, sniffing for a treat. With all of these people, she knew there had to be treats lurking somewhere. He smiled and fished a peppermint out of his pocket. The mare took it an began crunching on it without question. He turned and glanced down the aisle, when he noticed a young man looking intently at the Touch up son.
He tried to put a name to the face and realized, he didn't really know this man and then he looked around as if looking for one of the sale reps to answer some questions about the colt in question. He didn't hesitate. He patted Izzy and strode over, his long legs carrying him quickly and casually over.
Hello, Nick Landing...can I help you? He looked over at the colt. Ticker nickered affectionately to Nick, instantly recognizing his trainer and rider. Ticker was a great horse. Lively, but loyal. The colt had a special place in his heart. He rubbed the bay's head and looked to the gentleman with a smile, happy to answer any questions and to find out just who was interested in this very special colt.

Josh noticed a male figure making his way over. Josh was new to the business but recognised the man instantly, probably due to his little stalker antics over the IR horses. Josh was a little nervous now he was at the sale. He knew that noone knew him since he had only been around Oak Hill for a few weeks, but he hoped that he would still be taken seriously enough to make a purchase.Hey, I'm Josh! I'm from Oak Hill and very interested in Ticker here. Josh ran his offer through his head.I'm interested in making an offer, if that's ok? Oak Hill is willing to offer you a reserve breeding to any one of our horses, if you'll accept?

Nick smiled at the younger man. He seemed pleasant and he was hearing of the good things going on at Oak Hill. He'd sold them a Comeuppance weanling a few months back...definitely a stable to watch.
He heard the young man's offer and he paused, arms crossed as hr thought the offer over. This colt needed to go places. He'd take work, but one thing was for sure...he would shine.
Josh...you have yourself a deal...on one condition...besides my contract that is... he chuckled... You make this colt a G4 in his juvenile year...and I mean it. He arched an eyebrow and drilled the young man. Do we have a deal?

As he heard his bid was successful a smile spread across Josh's face. After recieving the news he noticed Nick approaching him. Nick ordered that Josh make this horse a champion and grade four by the end of his two year old season. I expect nothing more of him, Josh said simply. With a little work there are no excuses why this horse should not be a champion. Josh only had three horses to take care of at Oak Hill, two of them being weanlings, both of who he had actually bought from Nick. Josh was just excited now, to take Ticker home where he could settle in beside his old barn mate, Bacciami. Josh ordered the trailer to the barn entrance, where Ticker was loaded and the journey began.
(Thankyou, shall get a link up now! ;D )
